Bush
The Christian? |
|
|
"They
make ready their tongue
like a bow, to shoot lies;
it is not by truth
that they triumph in the land.
They go from one sin to another;
they do not acknowledge me,"
declares the LORD.
(Jeremiah 9:3, NIV) |
|
|
|
Their
tongue is a deadly arrow;
it speaks with deceit.
With his mouth each speaks cordially to his neighbor,
but in his heart he sets a trap for him.
(Jeremiah 9:8, NIV)
|
|
|
The
LORD has not sent you, yet you have persuaded this nation to
trust in lies. Therefore, this is what the LORD says: 'I am
about to remove you from the face of the earth. This very year
you are going to die, because you have preached rebellion against
the LORD .' " (Jeremiah 28:15-16, NIV) |
|
You
belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out
your father's desire. He was a murderer from the beginning,
not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When
he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and
the father of lies. (John 8:44, NIV) |

Ignoring
Iraqi Death Toll Labelled a Holocaust Denial |
American
authorities have consistently refused to quote casualties other
than among Coalition troops (805 deaths, according to a current
UN report). The UN puts the deaths of Iraqi soldiers at 11,000,
while estimates of the collateral deaths of Iraqi civilians
from the war have varied from 8,875-10,275 (UN) to 21,700-55,000
(Medact, UK, November 2003). |
|
If
anyone says, "I love God," yet hates his brother,
he is a liar. For anyone who does not love his brother, whom
he has seen, cannot love God, whom he has not seen. And he has
given us this command: Whoever loves God must also love his
brother. (1 John 4:20-21, NIV) |
|
US
Evades Blame for Iraqi Deaths |
A
Senior White House official was asked in a briefing this week
if President Bush will ever directly address the Iraqi people
about the deaths of Iraqi civilians in the US occupation. Instead
of addressing Bush's responsibility, the official delivered
a spiraling rendition of denial. |
|
In
his arrogance the wicked man hunts down the weak, who are caught
in the schemes he devises.
He boasts of the cravings of his heart; he blesses the greedy
and reviles the LORD .
In his pride the wicked does not seek him; in all his thoughts
there is no room for God.
His ways are always prosperous; he is haughty and your laws
are far from him; he sneers at all his enemies. (Psalm 10:2-5,
NIV) |

What
About the Iraqi Children? |
This
is not an adventure movie or a fantasy or a video game. This
is reality for children in Iraq. Recently, an international
group of researchers went to Iraq to find out how children there
are being affected by the possibility of war. Half the children
they talked to said they saw no point in living any more. Even
really young kids knew about war and worried about it. |

Church
Group Wants U.N. to Take Over Iraq |
"Many
people see our policy as one based on protection of our country's
economic interests narrowly defined, rather than on principles
of human rights and justice that would serve our nation's interests,"
read the letter, which the council hopes will be read in churches
nationwide. "We are convinced that current policy is dangerous
for America and the world and will only lead to further violence." |

Churches
condemn military attack on Iraq and light candles for peace |
The
start of military action against Iraq has provoked a barrage
of criticism from Christian churches throughout the world, many
of whom called on their faithful to
open church buildings for prayer, toll bells as an expression
of
grief or light candles for peace. "The pre-emptive military
attack against Iraq is immoral, illegal and ill-advised,"
said the Rev. Konrad Raiser, general secretary
of the World Council of Churches, based in Geneva. |
|
Millions
condemn Iraq war |
With
U.S. war planes and troops poised for combat with Iraq, peace
forces vowed to continue the fight against war. Win Without
War, a coalition of religious, community, and equal rights organizations,
sharply condemned George W. Bushs preemptive attack on
Iraq and urged their millions of members to mobilize for peace. |

George
W. Bush, a United Methodist??? |
The
Methodists officially oppose capital punishment and handgun
ownership. Dubya supports both. And the list of disagreements
continues with abortion rights, gays in the military, school
vouchers, even Social Security policy. |
|
Could
George Bush Be The Antichrist? |
Could
President George W. Bush be the Antichrist? Yeah, he could be.
He does every thing he can for War and almost nothing for Peace.
He believes that if innocent people get killed by American forces
in the prosecution of our War on Terrorism, that is unfortunate,
but America has the right to kill those people, because our
right to have a war is greater that those people's right to
life. |

AntiChrist
George Bush and His Bishops from Hell-- |
The
leaders, including Jerry Fallwell, James Dobson, Pat Robertson,
Reverend Sun Myung Moon (owner of Washington Times) and too
many Catholic Bishops, advise their "flocks" to support
the Republican party, for several reasons: |
|
Bush
lies and the religious right complies. |
Once
again, the Bush administration is asking the American people
to disregard empirical and historical fact (what they can see
and comprehend in historical context) so as to make their choices
based solely on faith in George W. Bush and his Old Testament
Roman "morality" (based in legalism, penalism, vengeance
and self-righteousness). The religious right complies. |

Faith-Based
Bribery |
"You
are a child of the devil and an enemy of everything that is
right! You are full of all kinds of deceit and trickery. Will
you never stop perverting the right ways of the Lord?
(Acts 13:10,
NIV) |

Bush
Pushes 'Faith-Based' Measure |
Joe
Conn, a spokesman for Americans United for Separation of Church
and State, said religious groups would be allowed to discriminate
in hiring while other groups could not. "It's not equal
treatment," he said. "It's special treatment for religious
groups. ... In essence, the government is going to be funding
religious discrimination." |

A

Pick
up thy syringe and walk, sinner. On Bush's faith drive |
George
W's proudest gubernatorial accomplishment was to make "faith-based
action" the corner stone of his state's welfare programme.
The "Texas experiment" offers a chilling insight into
what "compassionate conservatism" will mean over the
next four years for 40m Americans with substance-abuse problems. |

BUSH
PLAN TO USE PUBLIC MONEY FOR CHURCH CONSTRUCTION |
The
plan is part of an expansive White House initiative which would
direct billions of federal dollars into the coffers of religious
groups seeking to operate faith-based social outreaches. |

Bush
stops at King grave, campaigns across South |
Bush's
four-stop swing through Georgia and Louisiana allowed him to
court two important constituencies - religious conservatives,
who make up his base of support, and black voters, only 9 percent
of whom supported him in 2000. Events in both states were paired
with fund-raisers, which raised $2.3 million for his campaign
account, already brimming with more than $130 million. |

Are
Your Tax Dollars Funding Pat Robertson? |
What
surprised many commentators at the time was that much of the
criticism of the Bush initiative was coming from the religious
right itself, including Pat Robertson. All the more surprising
then, that among the very first organizations to be funded by
the Bush administration's new program is Operation Blessing
International, a Virginia Beach charity created by Robertson. |
|
Robertson:
God says it's Bush in a 'blowout' in November |
Religious
broadcaster Pat Robertson said Friday he believes God has told
him President Bush will be re-elected in a "blowout"
in November. |
|
Pat
Robertson's 'Burning Bush' |
Robertson
told his television audience he believed he had "heard
from the Lord" that President Bush was going to win in
a "blowout." The Lord has blessed Bush, said Robertson,
and "it doesn't make any difference what he does, good
or bad. God picks him up because he's a man of prayer and God's
blessing him." |

Robertson Slams Bush On Liberia |
Religious

a Christian, Baptist president to bring in Muslim rebels
by asking Liberian President Charles Taylor, recently indicted
for war crimes, to step down. |
